transforming trash

Our students collect trash and objects in the city on our first excursion. They create an assemblage or collage from the trash and return it to the city in a site they select. As the week progresses we return to the sites, finding the art sometimes remains, sometimes moves, and sometimes disappears.

responding to artists

We respond to the art we are visiting by mimicking the contemporary practices that we see in exhibits.

talking back to the city

Adding transient objects and images to forgotten or overlooked parts of the city is a way we practice poetic dialogue.
